English idiomatic phrases

It’s raining cats and dogs!

Hello everyone! Ciao a tutti!

I hope that you are all having a great Easter time. As some of you may know, I teach English part-time and recently found a great list of English idiomatic phrases which I’ve been teaching to some of my more advanced students. Since they really enjoyed this experience, I decided to share it with you. Here is the page. Let me know what your favourites are and if you know if there is an equivalent in Italian for them!

In the meantime, here are some of my favourites:
– Pull someone’s leg
– Don’t cry over spilt milk
– Go on a wild goose chase
– The whole nine yards
